Robert W. "Bill" Myers, FCSI/AIA/CCS, 80, of Pine and Phoenix, died July 11, 2001, at his home in Pine. He was born in Minneapolis, Minn. and raised in Grand Forks, N.D. He had lived in Phoenix since 1946. He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving in both World War II and the Korean War and was medically retired after 10 1/2 years of service.

Mr. Myers was a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects and a Fellow of the Construction Specifications Institute. He also was a Certified Construction Specifier, practicing in Arizona for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sammye Ruth Tallant Myers of Pine and Phoenix; one son, Robert E. Myers and his wife Annette of Federal Way, Wash.; two daughters, Patricia K. Ballard and her husband Randy of Phoenix, and Marilyn R. Weir of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Robert C. Myers, Kevin Myers, Tina Wade and her husband Stuart, Stephen "Billy" and USAF Airman 1st Class Lance R. Ballard; sister, Phyllis J. Hanson and her husband Richard and family of Burnsville, Minn.; and brother-in-law, Guilford O. Fossum and family of Grand Forks, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Agnes "Peg" Fossum.

Services were private at the Arizona National Veterans Cemetery.
