Oran Andrew Harger, 93, of Payson, died, July 18, 2001, in Payson. He was born and raised in Decatur County Kansas and maintained correspondence with friends and family in the town of Oberlin, Kan.
He was a Navy veteran, contractor and business owner until his retirement to Payson in 1968. He was a member of the Christian Church along with many clubs and organizations. He also was an avid reader, gardener and bridge partner.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Doris Harger; one daughter, Patricia Watson of Payson; one son, John Harger and his wife June of Litchfield Park, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Jan Robertson and her husband Jim of Salem, Ill., Debra Isaac and her husband Larry of Payson; grandsons, Mark Watson of Payson, Todd Watson and his wife Nancy Croft of Payson, Kirk Watson and his wife Lora Lynn of California, Scott Harger and his wife Patsy of Flagstaff, and Andrew Harger of Phoenix; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Elsie of 49 years and two sisters, Velda Vernon and Lorene Wilson.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
