We were disappointed, but not surprised, at the hypocrisy demonstrated by the editorial staff of the Payson Roundup concerning their handling of the Roy Haught matter.
The day after Mr. Haught was sentenced, your paper ran a rather extensive article concerning the court proceedings. You then editorialized that it would be in the best interest of the communities of Payson, Pine and Strawberry to put the matter behind us so the rift in the communities could be healed.
The following week, however, your ignored your own good sense to conduct your "street interview" by asking the question "Did you feel the sentence Roy Haught received was fair?"
It is obvious the editorial was insincere at best and really nothing more than another cheap shot at Roy Haught.
