Ruth McDaniel, 92, of Garden City, Kan., died July 24, 2001 in Garden City, Kan. She was born to John James and Edna Koble Anderson April 10, 1909 in Middleton, Ohio. She had been a resident of Garden City, Kan. since 1993, having moved from Pratt, Kan. where she had worked as a cook for the Pratt School District.
She married Emil Saloga in Hutchinson, Kan. May 18, 1927. He died March 26, 1962. She then married Ross McDaniel in Alva, Okla.
Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Methodist Church, a past member of the women's bowling association, a member of the Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include six sons, Gilbert of Hobbs, N.M., Darrell of Payson, Eugene of Garden City, Kan., Marvin of Roosevelt, Utah, Leland of Odessa, Texas and Lawrence of Pratt, Kan.; 26 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emil Saloga and Ross McDaniel, her parents, three brothers, four sisters, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 26 at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kan.
Graveside services were held Friday, July 27 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson, Kan.
