'Automobiles Not Worth A Child's Life'

(Re: The March 13 letter, "No pleasure, power or recreation is worth one child's life): Why should gun owners be penalized because of your children and your irresponsibility as a parent.

Society is not responsible for your kids, you are. We raised three kids (who are) now all in their 40s, with no less than five unlocked guns in the home. They never shot anyone or took a gun to school.

All three of them were in car accidents and not all of them were their fault.

More children are killed and/or crippled by cars than guns. Let's get rid of all vehicles or would that keep you home watching what your kids are doing?
