Several booths are still available for Payson's annual Business Showcase April 21. This year's event will be back under the big top in the parking lot of the soon-to-open Rim Country Mall.
This annual event gives residents the chance to learn about the Rim country's unique merchants and their businesses.
Last year, the business showcase was held inside the old, vacant Wal-Mart building, which is being transformed into Rim Country Mall.
That was the plan this year, as well, but too many of the mall's business spaces were snapped up, leaving no space for the showcase.
The Rim Country Chamber of Commerce voted to once again rent a 16,000-square-foot tent, which is how the showcase was staged prior to last year. Inside the tent, about 80 businesses will set up booths, offering samples or information about their businesses and services.
Last year's event attracted nearly 6,000 visitors, many of whom report to chamber members. This year's showcase will begin with a booth setup and mixer Friday night. The showcase will pick up again the next day, Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For information about participating in the showcase, call Janet Crane at the chamber, 474-4515, or Judy Miller of the Small Business Development Center at 474-8821.
