Charles Edwin Evans, 90, of Payson, died March 21, 2001, in Payson. He was born July 25, 1910, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mr. Evans was a resident of Payson since 1994. He served with distinction in the United States Maritime Service during World War II.
He worked for a variety of corporations as a procurement manager and eventually retired from Teledyne Ryan Corporation in California.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Evans of Payson; two sons, Donald and his wife, Connie Evans, of Payson, and Ronald and his wife, Janice Evans, of California; four grandsons, Greg Evans, Scott Evans, Mark Evans, and Brett Evans, all of California; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held today (Friday, March 30), at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Calif.
Arrangements were handled by Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
