Gerald "Jerry" Melvin Link, 79, of Mesa del Caballo, died March 23, 2001, in Mesa del Caballo. He was born May 25, 1921, in Alto, Mich.

Mr. Link was a U.S. Customs inspector, and he retired in 1985. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and also was a missionary in Mexico.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Link, of Mesa del Caballo; one son, Danny Link of Double Adobe, Ariz.; one daughter, Judy Price of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three step-children, Carl Fredrickson of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Ruth Peters of Littleton, Colo. and David Fredrickson of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother Larry Link of Caledonia, Mich; two sisters, Shirley Jousma of Bradenton, Fla. and June Stevens of Caledonia, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Myrna Link, first wife, Verda Link, son, Jerry David Link and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Kay Link.

Visitation was held March 26.

Services were held today (Tuesday, March 27) at Ponderosa Baptist Church.

Interment was at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
