Q: Can something be done to get the JB's restaurant sign taken down or labeled as closed? The restaurant has been shut down for months, but people traveling on the highways do not know that. It's already a busy intersection does the town have any control over this?
A: "The JB's restaurant is scheduled to reopen in June," says Town Manager Rich Underkofler. "Our town code does require a sign to be covered or taken down when a business closes. We recently notified the restaurant owners of this requirement, and they have promised to cover the sign until it reopens."
A similar complaint was made about the Pioneer Lounge at the corner of Main Street and Highway 87. That sign has finally been taken down.
