Harold L. Roberson, 73, of Payson, died March 27, 2001. He was born on July 17, 1927, in Kensett, Iowa.
Mr. Roberson married Mavis Peterson July 14, 1946, at Asbury Methodist Church in Lake Mills, Iowa. They moved to Phoenix in 1955.
Mr. Roberson served as a sergeant for the Phoenix Police Department. In December 1993, after retiring, the Robersons moved to Payson.
Mr. Roberson enjoyed traveling with his wife, taking family camping trips and spending time in the outdoors.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Elks B.O.P.E.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis, of Payson; five sons, Larry and his wife, Carol Roberson, of Phoenix, David of Rancho Viejo, Texas, Keith and his wife, Jacque, of Wilhoit, Ariz., Steve and his wife, Bobbie, of Show Low, Ariz. and Randy and his wife, Diane, of Payson; two sisters, June and her husband, Dean Anderson, of Forest City, Iowa, and Ann and her husband, Walt Arensmeyer, of Choteau, Mont.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Julia, and one brother, Leonard.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 30 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 E. Aero.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
