The community of Mesa del Caballo is gearing up for its annual Mesa del Day Celebration Saturday, June 2 an all-day event that includes a pancake breakfast, community-wide yard sale, games and prizes for children and a raffle.
Events are scheduled throughout the day, and the public is invited to join in the celebration at the Mesa del Caballo Community Center. The pancake and sausage breakfast, sponsored by the Mazatzal Casino, will be held from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.; the yard sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and burgers, hot dogs, coffee and soda will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A special feature this year will be a combined yard, craft and bake sale booth co-sponsored by the Mesa del Caballo and Beaver Valley fire department auxiliaries. The Mesa del volunteer fire department recently contracted to provide emergency fire and medical protection to the Beaver Valley Fire District.
