What is our council doing to combat the pine-bark beetle infestation? I know there is an ordinance that states removal must be made of these infected trees. We have spent considerable monies having our lovely trees removed, yet the bare property next to Wal-Mart owned by Wal-Mart has numerous already-dead trees and some still living but infected with the beetle. Those trees (have infected) our neighborhood. Also, in the Rumsey Park area there is an infected tree across from the swimming pool that is still living, but not for long. One can go anywhere and find motels, gas stations, churches and restaurants, but how many places (can you find) the tall ponderosas? Are they soon to be all gone?
