Helen Louise Lofland, 92, died Oct. 18, 2001. She was born April 10, 1909 to John and Mary Schoffra in Madison, Ill.
Her paternal grandfather emigrated from France and her maternal grandfather from Germany. Her grandmothers were both born in Illinois. Helen was a homemaker in Illinois, Missouri and California.
Helen moved to Payson Oct. 31, 1996 with her daughter Edna.
Survivors include four daughters, Edna Pimental of Payson; Mildred Votoupal of Granite City, Ill., Barbara Spreck of Chicago, and Patricia Pavlick and her husband Glenn of Moreno Valley, Calif.; two sons, Dale Lofland and his wife Darlene of Gridley, Calif., and Richard Lofland and his wife Penny of Fountain Hills; sister, Dorothy Ely of Granite City, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Shirley Ann Thrasher in 1992, granddaughter, Tiffanie Anne Jones in 1974, brothers John, Arthur, Walter, Joseph and Andrew Schoffra, and half-sister, Georgia Brankov.
Visitation will be held at noon Monday, Oct. 22 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive.
Interment will be at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park.
