David and Phyllis (Morgan) Engleman of Payson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 6.
The Englemans' were married Oct. 6, 1951 at Assumption Grotto Church in Detroit, Mich.
The couple moved to Payson in 1988.
The couple first met while stationed at Selfridge AFB, Michigan on May 2, 1951. Their first date was three days later to see a Detroit Tigers baseball game. Both are veterans of the Air Force.
David and Phyllis owned and operated a KOA Campground in Green River, Utah for several years.
David then worked as a park ranger before moving to Payson. Phyllis retired as a bank teller from First Interstate Bank in 1994.
They have four children, David Jr. of Moab, Utah, Kathy Morgan of Glendale, Philip of Green River, Utah and Richard of Las Vegas, Nev. and seven grandchildren.
