Cac Meetings Open To Everyone

Editor:

The only truly Town Hall gathering in Payson is open to all comers. I am speaking, of course of the Citizen's Awareness Committee (CAC). In recent weeks there have been many guffawing and unkind, derisive letters to the editor that I suspect have the goal of silencing and destroying this organization.

But regardless of where you are from and how long you have lived in Payson or environs, we welcome you to our meetings, discussions and activities. These concern anything of public interest in this area. You can be as active as you want. You will gain information from hearing our speakers; the last one was the town manager.

We do not represent any monied interests or profit-making organizations. We are all about creating an informed and participating public. We are truly amazed that this notion seems to have offended a number of people in Payson. We believe we have the right to petition and protest, if we feel it is appropriate.

Our next meeting is at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 114 E. Cedar Street.
