Pyfa Kicks Off With Benefit, Sign-Up

The Payson Youth Football Association is gearing up for what officials hope will be a banner season.

On the upcoming agenda is a benefit golf tournament that annually helps fund the program and a pair of registration dates for both players and cheerleaders.

The PYFA 5th Annual Golf Tournament is May 18 at Payson Golf Course. Registration will be 7 a.m. on the course. Lunch begins at 11 a.m.

Fee to participate in the four-man scramble is $50 which includes green fees, cart, lunch and participation in several raffles and auctions.

The registrations will also be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4 and 11 at the Payson Police Department. All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate to register.

The fee for football players is $70. For cheerleaders, registration is $60. Discounts are given to families with more than one player or cheerleader.

Also $20 refunds are given to families who have adults that volunteer in the program.
