A 14-lot gated community is proposed for the property at the south end of Green Valley Parkway.
The proposal was presented to the Payson Planning and Zoning Commission at its Aug. 5 meeting.
The 10.22-acre site has been earmarked for several developments before. In 1985, it was considered for Mountain View Estates. In July 1993, a preliminary plat was approved for Green Valley Estates Subdivision on the property. That plat expired because a final plat was not submitted in the time frame allowed by the town.
The latest proposal is for another Green Valley Estates subdivision.
The 14, single-family home sites range in size from 14,834 square feet to 29,382 square feet.
Asked to give an estimate on the cost range the agent and one of the owners, Ralph Bossert, along with Ray Downs, said there was no way to know the cost at this point.
There was concern expressed by members of the planning and zoning commission about gating the community. But the planners voted to recommend council approval for the project.
