If any of the players are lucky enough to shoot a hole in one on No. 2 during the 6th Annual Payson Area Habitat for Humanity golf tournament, he or she would walk away $25,000 richer.
According to Jim Dalgleish, who plays the course weekly, an ace on the 196-yard, par 3 hole is difficult, but possible.
"We've had a couple (of aces) this past summer, but it takes some luck," he said.
The $25,000 cash prize for the hole in one is being sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
The golf benefit, which tees off at 8 a.m. Aug. 24, will also feature a lunch catered by Quizno's Classic Subs and the Safeway deli. Safeway also will provide early morning donuts, coffee and a "booby prize" for the foursome that finishes last in the team standings.
According to PAHH spokesperson Judy Berger, the tournament has filled its allotment of foursomes but there is a waiting list being compiled. Prospective players can sign up by calling co-tournament directors Dale Gonzales or Mark Monty at 474-3235.
The benefit tournament is annually hosted by the Pioneer Title Agency.
