The Rim Country Kiwanis hosts a weekly game of bingo at 6:30 p.m. each and every Saturday in the meeting room at the community center. Bring your lucky charms, your colorful daubers and your friends for an evening of high stakes excitement.
Each game is different and cards cost $10 for the basic set. The more adventurous players can step up the purchase to increase their chance at winning. The cover-all game pays $1,000 and the remaining pots depend on the number of players.
This dedicated group of civic-minded souls donates loads of time and money to our community, most of it to the children.
Show your appreciation by making an appearance at one of the games.
Pine/Strawberry PC Users Group meeting
The Pine/Strawberry PC Users Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in the senior center at the community center in Pine.
For a $1 per person donation, you can ask our experts those burning questions about technology that otherwise generate a deer-in-the-headlights look from regular people.
After a brief question-and-answer section, the focus will be electronic mail, including: Outlook Express, address books, mailing lists, message attachments, mail filters, folders, proper addressing, forwarding messages and replying to mail.
Special tips on sending pictures by e-mail will also be shown.
Bring a friend to help double the revenue. Donations of $1 are taken to cover the cost of the meeting room and the use of the projector.
The Fiddlers' Jam Session is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 21 in the cultural hall at the community center. Players welcome.
Do you pick a banjo, strum a guitar, or play a fiddle, mandolin or other instrument? You are invited, encouraged and welcome to join the jam.
