What We Leave Behind

The death of Elvis Presley 25 years ago just passed. I have an album of Christian songs by him. What a joy just to sit and listen and absorb the messages that are in these tapes. I am told that this one album was one of the largest sellers and is still in demand today. It even outsold "Hound dog."

Thousands in the secular society are paying homage to him as the "King."

I was told that the chaplain of Bourbon Street came within a fraction of converting Elvis to Christianity. The last song that I heard him sing was "Where Can I Go But to the Lord."

Someday we will leave behind what we have and take with us what we are, as Elvis did.

One thing we do know is that God's grace is sufficient.
