If you've ever wanted to meet Elvis Presley, Randy Johnson or Wonder Woman, this is your big chance.
The Mogollon Health Alliance is holding its second annual "Dining with Celebrities" benefit bash on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Fargo's Steakhouse on Highway 260.
Local personalities dressed up as all manner of superstars and celebrities will be serving dinner and otherwise cavorting in the manner of the person each will be portraying.
Robert Higginbotham of Payson Jewelers will portray Elvis, while Sandy Koon, who works in the school district office, will impersonate Wonder Woman.
If you can guess the identity of the local personality who is portraying Randy Johnson from a photo in an upcoming issue of the Roundup, you'll win two free dinner tickets.
An addition to this year's event will be a simulated lounge act area set up in Fargo's conference room.
Individual tickets for the event are $75, or you can buy six for $500 or 12 for $1,000. Tickets are tax deductible.
Proceeds will be used for MHA programs, including a new nursing program at Gila Community College; free-to-the-public CPR classes; and MHA's other continuing education classes, community grants and education scholarships.
MHA is a nonprofit organization that was previously the hospital foundation when that facility was nonprofit. In addition to operating the auxiliary program at PRMC, MHA provides health-related scholarships to high school students, offers grants to area fire departments for medical education and more.
