Let Us Ride Our Own Bus

Editor:

I do not think that it is right that the Payson School District has a Tonto Basin bus, but it's only for the high schoolers.

The children who go to the Payson middle school or the elementary schools should also be able to ride the bus.

The bus that I ride at Jakes Corner comes at 6:20 a.m. and drops me off in the afternoon after school at 4:30 p.m. The Tonto Basin bus drives right past my house at 7:10 a.m. and in the afternoon again at 3:40 p.m.

Catching the bus so early and getting home so late can be tiring sometimes, especially for the younger kids.

Next year, I will be a freshman in high school, so I will be allowed to ride the Tonto Basin bus. My parents will still have to drive all the way to Jakes Corner to take my little brother, who will be in the seventh grade, to catch a Payson bus.

Do you think that this is fair ... a lot of people I've talked to don't think so?
