Louise Deak Baumgartner, 88, died Feb. 14, 2002 in Payson. She was born Aug. 19, 1913 in Woodbridge, N.J. to Elizabeth and Stephen Deak. She previously resided in New Jersey and Philadelphia for 37 years. She lived in Payson for two-and-a-half years and resided in Payson Care Center for two years.
She was a charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, N.J. She volunteered at Deborah Hospital, Philadelphia Zoo, Camden N.J. Aquarium and church organizations. She also was a driver for the blind through the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara and her husband William E. Brandt of Strawberry; three grandchildren, Debra L. Brandt of Mesa, William R. Brandt of Paso Robles, Calif. and Robert J. and his wife Liz Brandt of Payson; two great-grandchildren, Johnathon Brandt of Payson and Malcolm Brandt of Payson; sister, Helen Silvester of Coleville, Calif.; and numerous nieces.
Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fords, N.J.
Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen, N.J.
