Everett P. Rhodes, 84, of Payson, died Jan. 23, 2002 in Payson. He was born Feb. 28, 1917 in Newburgh, N.Y.

Before retiring in Payson, Mr. Rhodes was the district manager for IBM. He helped run the Mogollon Advisor newspaper in Payson and the Rim Country Printery. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Romeo Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Ernst of Seattle, Wash., Brenda Wheat of Scottsdale and Debbie Rawsthorne of Payson; two sisters, Norma Appler of Milton, N.Y. and Doris Hoha of Plainesville, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Rhodes.

A celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the home of Diane Waldrip, 26340 N. 82nd Street, Scottsdale.

He will be buried at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale.
