State and federal officials announce the opening of a new help center in Heber. The help center opened Wednesday at Capps Middle School, 3375 Buckskin Canyon Road. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The help center in Holbrook closed Wednesday. Those who need assistance may visit the following locations or go to the Heber help center:
The college in Payson at 201 N. Mud Springs Road, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Show Low Primary School, 1350 N. Central Avenue, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The mobile unit at the Veterans building in White River, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Recovery teams at the centers are available to answer questions and provide recovery information about various assistance programs.
Disaster programs include temporary housing assistance, low-interest disaster loans, individual and family grants, and disaster unemployment insurance. This is also an opportunity for homeowners to receive information about wildfire mitigation and safety tips.
