Every drop counts and we certainly can put it into perspective just by doing something very simple. I shower often, but I don't step in first. What I do is fill my sink half full with water to soap myself all over and then I step into the shower to rinse off. by doing this, I use less water in the shower.
I feel great, clean and refreshed. Also proud of myself that I had not wasted water but conserved it.
Another way I have a dishwasher, but I never use it. I do all my dishes in the sink. Dishwashers use a lot of water and doing dishes in the sink does dramatically reduce water consumption. It will also reduce your high cost of water.
