Fred Leslie Bishop, 90, of Phoenix died Saturday, June 1 at Veterans Hospital in Phoenix. He served in the 6th Cavalry of the 3rd Army under General Patton in World War II. Mr. Bishop was a lifetime member of the Elks and VFW Post 720; he was also a member of the Moose Lodge #708.
He moved to Phoenix from Denver in August 1949 and retired from Adroit Supply in 1973. His favorite pastime was fishing the lakes and streams of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Margret, and two grandchildren. Survivors include six children, one foster daughter, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services were held June 7 at Green Acres Chapel of Light in Scottsdale.
