Lady Horn Jvs End Season 10-7

For coach Rory Huff, the 10-7 credentials compiled by the Lady Longhorns' junior varsity basketball team represented "a very successful season."

Fueled by the scoring of freshman Tanya Davis, who also saw some action on the varsity, the young Horns were seldom out of contention no matter the opponent.

Other offensive standouts for the jayvees were Autumn Herrera, Kody Kepp and Krystal McRae.

In the battle on the boards, Brittany Owens and Hillary Hardt led Payson throughout the campaign. Owens corralled 116 missed shots and Hardt retrieved 109, stats show.

The team defensive leader with 40 steals, was Denise Nottingham.

With 31 assists, Herrera was the Lady Horns' floor general.

The players, coaches, parents and fans celebrated the culmination of the season at its annual awards ceremonies Thursday evening.
