Election Workers Serve The Voters

In Friday's paper I read the very complimentary letter written by Jack Sheahan in regards to the Town Hall Election Board.

As the Inspector of that board, I say thank you for the compliment.

It is something the election boards are required to do in order that all the people who want to and are registered can vote. We had more people requesting curbside voting before our buildings were handicapped accessible and it was always a pleasure to see that some people who are severely handicapped come to the polls when others who are perfectly healthy don't even take time to register.

We are appointed to serve the public and to do it fairly, upholding the laws of the State and the United States.

Thanks again for printing his letter and thank you for letting me respond.
