Cline Honored As Tonto Basin's Outstanding Citizen-Volunteer Of The Year

Norma Cline was named outstanding citizen/volunteer of the year March 2 at the 6th Annual Tonto Basin Chamber of Commerce Camaraderie.

Cline was honored for her contributions in support of the Tonto Basin Kiwanis, United States Marine Corps League, Punkin Center Charities, Chamber of Commerce, Tonto Basin School, fire department and "countless individuals throughout the Tonto Basin area."

She not only served as this year's chairperson of the Camaraderie, she was the driving force behind the formation of the annual fund raiser six years ago.

Cline has been the manager of the Butcher Hook Store, Bar and Restaurant since it opened its doors in 1986.

Tonto Basin, a community formed by the long-standing ranching families, is surrounded by Roosevelt Lake to the south, the Sierra Ancha Wilderness in the east and the Four Peaks wilderness area to the west.

It has long been a favorite playground for those who love to fish, hunt, hike, bike, water ski or just relax.
