Yavapai Coaches To Head Soccer Camp

Payson High School's boys soccer coach Roger Wholly says one of the reasons for the team's on-the-field success last year was the expert training the players receive at the Payson Longhorn Soccer Camp.

Hugh Bell and Mike Pantaloine of Prescott Yavapai College were on hand at last summer's camp to share their expertise with the high school players. Most of the players on the 2001 junior varsity and varsity team participated in that camp.

Bell and Pantaloine plan to return to the Rim country this summer, where they will continue to help prepare players for prep soccer.

The coming edition of the camp is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22 through July 25 on the new Rumsey Park multipurpose field. The camp is open to all players who will be entering high school next year.

The tuition is $120 per player which includes a souvenir T-shirt and a soccer ball. Late registration, after May 31, is $150.
