Nancy Miller Andrus Palmer of Payson died May 9, 2002. She was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. July 11, 1928.

Mrs. Palmer attended Syracuse University and worked in the real estate profession in Maryland. She moved to Kohl's Ranch in 1993. Once retired in Arizona, she began the local chapter of the Celiac Sprue Organization.

Mr. and Mrs. Palmer had been engaged to be married in 1944. They ended up marrying other people and having their own families. Within a few years after they were each widowed, they reunited. Mr. Palmer currently lives in Payson.

She is survived by her husband, William B. Palmer of Payson; sister, Janet Cornick of Canandaigua, N.Y.; sons, William L. Andrus of Dunstalbe, Mass., James R. Andrus of Auburn, N.H., Edward Y. Andrus of Reading, Pa.; daughter, Susan A. Neal-Lyman of Elkridge, Md.; stepdaughters, Melissa Palmer of San Anselmo, Calif.; Laura Ford of Melrose, Mass.; Deborah Brooks of Hood River, Ore.; Diane Mullaly of Payson; 23 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

No services will be held.
