Early voting for the May 21 town election ends tonight.
At 5 p.m., Friday, May 17 the ballot box at town hall will close.
A record number of residents have taken advantage of the opportunity to cast their mayoral and council run-off votes before the election, Silvia Smith, from the town clerk's office, said.
There were a total of 1,042 citizens who voted early in the town's primary. More than 1,100 had already cast their ballots as of Wednesday, she said.
The next opportunity for residents to have their say in who leads the community will be Tuesday, May 21, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:
District 1, for Precincts 1 and 3, First Assembly of God Church, 1100 W. Lake Drive;
District 2, for Precincts 2, 6 and the portion of the Star Valley Precinct within town boundaries, Payson Town Hall, 303 N. Beeline Hwy.;
District 3, for Precincts 7 and 8, First Southern Baptist Church, 302 South Ash; and
District 4, for Precincts 4 and 5, The Inn of Payson meeting rooms, 801 N. Beeline Hwy.
