Maurice Lane, 609 S. Colcord, was arrested Nov. 22 following a call by the Gila County Sheriff’s Department to the Payson Police Department.
The sheriff’s department had been investigating a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located and interviewed by sheriff’s deputies, who learned that Lane had allegedly provided alcohol and marijuana to the minor.
The sheriff’s office called the PPD on the case. A search warrant was served at Lane’s residence at about 5:30 p.m. He was arrested and charged with two counts of furnishing marijuana to a minor; two counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Lt. Earlier Nov. 22, the PPD investigated a burglary at the Small Cafe. Engler said the case is still under investigation. A lot of damage was done to the building and a substantial amount of alcohol, along with meat, fish and other consumable goods were taken.
