Richard Burton Dudley, 68, of Payson, died Aug. 28, 2002, in Payson. He was born July 15, 1934, in Payson to Samuel and Capitola Dudley.
Mr. Dudley is an Arizona native who was born in a tent in Indian Gardens near Tonto Creek. He was an Air Force veteran and a surveyor. He married Jean on June 18, 1994, in Payson. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Dudley of Payson; daughters, Sherry and husband Andy Howell of Layton, Utah, Amy and husband Jason Mancini of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ann Marie Dudley of Victorville, Calif.; step-daughters, Rosanne Reynolds of Phoenix, and Melody and husband Greg Hill of Kennewick, Wash.; sons, Bryon and wife June Dudley of Payson, Scott Dudley of Victorville, Calif.; and Chad Dudley of Albuquerque, N.M.; step-sons, John and wife Brenda Timpany of West Richland, Wash., and Dana Timpany of Phoenix; step-mother Cora Dudley of Mesa; brothers, Norman and wife Alta Dudley of Payson, and Clinton and wife Christine Dudley of Kingman; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at First Southern Baptist Church, 302 S. Ash St., Payson.
