Four juvenile males, one 12 and three 8, were arrested for burglary, theft and criminal damage Sept. 1.
The four broke into a home on South McLane, taking camping gear and doing a great deal of criminal damage, Police Lt. Don. Engler said.
The police were assisted in apprehending the boys by one of the parents. While they were investigating, the parent brought their son to the scene, along with some of the stolen camping gear. With that assistance, the police discovered the others involved and recovered most of the stolen goods.
The victim of the incident was the father of a local police officer, Engler said.
