Claude Frank Garner, 63, of Payson, died Sept. 12, 2002 in Phoenix. He was born Oct. 17, 1938 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Garner was a newspaper pressman. He worked for the Beverly Hills Citizen newspaper. He was also a carpenter and attended Washington High School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Survivors include his mother, Miriam White Garner Crawford of Payson; his step-father, Leon Crawford of Payson; sisters, Ida Marie Garner of Simi Valley, Calif., Margaret Eleanor Carlson and husband Richard of Upland, Calif.; his aunt, Rachel Anderson and her son, Michael Sanders, of Strawberry; brothers, Richard Allan Garner and wife Gladys of Happy Jack; John Stephen Garner and wife Marcella of Payson; and David Garner of Los Angeles, Calif.; nieces, Desire, Lisa and Mim Garner of Payson, Shelly Knight of Finksburg, Md., Jackie and Pam Cartwright of Simi Valley, Calif.; nephews, Johnny Garner of Payson, Leif Garner of Phoenix, and Paul Cartwright of Downey, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Frank Garner; his aunt, Frankie Allene Erramuspe; his niece, Michelle Elrod; and his nephew, David Cartwright.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Mountain Meadows Memorial Park in Upper Round Valley, Payson.
