Eldron Martin Wason, 89, of Pine, died Sept. 20, 2002, in Paradise Valley. He was born Dec. 7, 1912, in Eva, Okla.
Mr. Wason was an engineer for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Local Firemen and Engineermen, member of the Elks Lodge, a member of the Thunderbird Outboard Association, and an active member in the NRA.
Survivors include his daughters, Bille Lemieux and husband, Milton, of Greer, and Sandra Goswick and husband, Robert, of Phoenix; son, Paul Eldron Michael Wason and wife, Sally, of Moonpark, Calif.; grandchildren, Amy Lynn Wason, Karen J. Chamberlain, Roger Freeman, Mary Fiore and husband, Sal, and Harold Lemieux and wife, Jill; 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wason, and daughter, Virginia Freeman.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero Drive.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
