Arleen Ruth Cilione, 60, formerly of Payson, is missing. She was last seen Sept. 19 at a Prescott tavern, Donna's Hut, at about 9:15 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19.
The woman lived in Payson for 20 years. Her family fears that the similarity between the communities of Prescott and Payson may disorient her and she may show up in Payson, said her daughter, Dina Keenan, also a former Payson resident.
A cab was called to pick up Cilione, but it is not known if she got into it. Cilione did not have any identification with her as her wallet was found at her home.
She is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, Cilione was wearing a white, v-neck T-shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black fanny pack.
Cilione's family is asking for the public's assistance in locating her. Mary-Jo Satchell, another daughter of Cilione, said her mother's disappearance is totally out of character.
"We are a tight-knit family. She's never disappeared before. She has her dog here at home and she would never do this," Satchell said.
"We're doing everything we can to find her. At first, the phones kept ringing with everyone looking for her and ideas to help find her. But today (Thursday) is the day the phone stopped ringing," Keenan said.
Anyone with information about Cilione can call the Prescott Police Department at (928) 778-1444. Refer to case number 02-41839.
