This has got to be my most favorite time of year. The mornings are crisp with the smell of the pine trees and wood stoves puffing their smoke around the village.
The leaves have not started to turn yet, but I know it is not too far away, because the early morning temperatures are cool enough for a sweater or light jacket.
Soon the leaves will be falling. We'll be hard at work raking them up, and hopefully, we can burn them this year.
The hunters will be getting all their gear together for their big hunt, either for elk or deer, and checking out their new GPS gadgets.
My husband has one of these new gadgets and he and his buddy Rick will be checking that out this weekend.
The guys still rule in the Sunday pool tournament. This past Sunday, the 8-ball play showed that Harvey Poyner, Doug Paul, and Chuck Huth were the first-, second-, and third-place winners.
Tuesday, the gals played at the Landmark with the Tonto Village gals playing in their bib overalls. When the chalk dust settled, Patty Boeschling, JoAnn Kennedy and Ingrid Monk were the top three winners.

Get well wishes
Get well wishes to Connie Weldon after being in a vehicle accident about a week ago. She is coming along very well.
Connie's daughter, Annie, will be spending a few weeks with her to help with housekeeping chores, and to keep her company.
Connie will still be playing dominoes Wednesdays nothing will stop her from that activity.
