Donald Cameron Macrorie, 63, until recently a resident of Payson, died April 2, 2003 in Tucson. He was born March 13, 1940 in Rock Island, Ill.
Mr. Macrorie served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a military policeman. He attended Arizona State University and graduated from Southern Colorado State College with a degree in refrigeration. He then received further training from York Engineering School, and was employed by York-Borg-Warner in Phoenix.
With his wife, Nancy, he owned and operated Service Master by Macrorie in Payson until November 1999.
He served as deacon and trustee of First Baptist Church of Pine.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sisters, Hazel French of Pueblo, Colo. and Mary Ann Gant of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Richard Macrorie of Pueblo, Colo.; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 at the First Baptist Church on Highway 87 in Pine.
