James H. "Skid" Henley


James H. "Skid" Henley, 87, of McAlester, Okla., died April 2, 2003, at his home in McAlester. He was born Aug. 23, 1915 to Robert Nelson and Lillie Mae Killian Henley in Mountain Home, Ark.

Mr. Henley is survived by sons: Jim (Carole) Henley of McAlester, Okla., and Robert (Ann) Henley of Payson; sisters, Bobbie Lou Crumley of Santee, Calif., and Helen Sauber of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; four grandchildren: Cheryl (Craig) Rose of Hobart, Okla., Kelle (Jeff) Hohl of Lake Bluff, Ill., Jamie (Rick) Minyard of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Jeff Smith of McAlester, Okla; five great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Marie Hohl, Keri Minyard, Alex Rose, Kayley Minyard and Rickey Minyard; and a sister-in-law, Glorene Henley of Edmond, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Norma, on Aug. 29, 2002; two brothers, Milton Henley and Thomas H. Henley; and a sister, Elizabeth Pearl.

Memorial Services were held April 10, 2003 in Lakewood Christian Church.

Arrangements were handled by Bishop Funeral Service in McAlester, Okla.
