Jay Harmon Gould, 91, died April 16, 2003 in Prescott. He was born Feb. 26, 1912 in Ferris, Okla., and was the sixth in a family of 10 children.
He moved to Pine with his family in 1928. Mr. Gould married Margaret Fuller.
His work in heavy equipment construction took him to many cities in the state. He lived principally in Pine, Winslow, Phoenix and Skull Valley. He loved to fish, hunt and prospect. He was recognized as a skilled outdoorsman and an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, whom he married in 1984; children, Nada Greer, Phyllis Sirrine, Harry and Richard Gould; sister, Joy Allen; 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 21 in the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pine, followed by a graveside service at the Pine Pioneer Cemetery.
