Mr John G Wakelin is right on.
While in principle, we have a wonderful political process, it is also a wonder how easily and how often it is completely short-circuited and totally corrupted by our politicians, according to the needs of their special interests.
Yet another even greater wonder is how our politicians are able to walk among us, heads up, without shame, as if they had not sold the interests of those they represent to the highest bidder.
The polls, while they in principle represent a solution, do not seem to work very well, at all.
