Verla Morgan Woolery, 83, of Payson, died April 25, 2003 in Scottsdale. She was born Aug. 12, 1919 in Clay City, Ky.
Mrs. Woolery retired from Motorola in 1974.
She had a home and two cabins in Greer for several years, and then she moved to Pine.
She moved to Payson in 1991, where she was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the American Legion Auxiliary in Payson.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Donald) Adamson of Sacramento, Calif.; son-in-law, Donald Hocker of Payson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Woolery was preceded in death in 1990 by her husband, Clarence Woolery; and by her daughter Phyllis Hocker in 2003.
There will be a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Aero in Payson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, also at the Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
