Lanny Gale Ross, 65, of Payson, died in Payson Aug. 5, 2003. He was born May 11, 1938 in Grinnell, Iowa.
Mr. Ross moved from Iowa to Phoenix when he was a small child, and relocated to Payson in the early 1960s. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a handyman by trade.
Mr. Ross enjoyed his family and fishing.
He was very well-known and liked, and will be missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, David, Calvin (Karissa), and J.R. of Payson, and Shelton of Salt Lake City; daughters, Patricia (Fred) Ross, of Payson, Cally Davis and her two daughters of Salt Lake City, and Bernadette Manning of the Phoenix area; brothers, Glen Ross of Kona, Hawaii, Ira Ross of Las Vegas, and Chuck Ross of Oregon; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A non-denominational memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church, 507 W. Wade, Payson
Arrangements are being handled by Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
