Joyce Ann Gortariz, 63, of Kingman, died Aug. 10, 2003 in Gallup, N.M. She was born July 6, 1940 in Riverside, Calif.
Mrs. Gortariz was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making clothing for her seven children, as well as making dolls and doll clothing. Planting flower gardens gave her great pleasure.
She is survived by her husband, Edward of Kingman; daughters, Sandra Beagles of Tonto Basin, Kathleen Shelton of Phoenix, Debbie Gortariz of Albuquerque, N.M., Iva Gortariz of Mexico, Shannon Murphy of Reading, Pa. and Linda Quevedo of Las Vegas; son, Justin Beagles of Kingman; sisters, Janie Hensinger of Rocky Mountain, N.C. and Rosemary Jennings of Freeport, Texas; brother, James Breshears of Kingman; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at Punkin Center Baptist Church. A service followed at 9 a.m. Burial was at Tonto Basin Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
