Carl Francis Savage, 84, of Payson, died Dec. 11, 2003. He was born April 11, 1919 in Guthrie County, Iowa to Adelbert and Elva Savage.
Mr. Savage was a member of the Payson United Methodist Church. He organized and started the Pine Senior Center kitchen in Pine and held membership in Kiwanis and the Elks.
An Iowa farmer for many years, he was also a construction carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Beverly Still-Savage of Payson; son, Paul Savage of Templeton, Calif.; sister, Martha Shoesmith of Guthrie Center, Iowa; three grandchildren, Natalie and Jeff Savage and Paula Elms; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary L. Savage; brothers, Merle, Cecil and Leo Savage; and sister, Cleo Hultgren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at Payson United Methodist Church, 414 N. Easy St. in Payson. Interment will be in Audubon, Iowa.
