On your Tuesday, Dec. 9 Opinion Page, you had an article titled "Accomplishments in the Name of Freedom." When I started reading this, it seemed to me that President Bush is laying the ground work to run as president of Iraq.
All the items that Don Castleman mentions in the letter are what this president has not done for the USA. Bush is not in this for freedom in Iraq, but their oil for big bucks.
He has lied to the American people in the first place.
We know he had to go into Afghanistan due to 9/11, and we all supported that. By invading Iraq, we have hurt the war in Afghanistan by pulling most of our men and women out.
It's like an ant hill; you can destroy the hill, but the ants will still be all over the place. This is what we have now with the terrorists all over the country.
This is the first time I have seen an administration insulate the war from the American people by not letting us see our men and women coming off the planes in their coffins with flags over them.
Our hearts can hurt with the families of our fallen soldiers, and we should mourn for them.
This is supposed to be a caring administration. The other countries get to mourn their dead, why not us, as we have more killed than the other countries?
Now that they have found out how to do this, what country is next?
Shame on us for letting this happen.
