A wider Fossil Creek Road is becoming a reality.
As construction crews become a daily presence in Strawberry, residents and visitors are urged to have patience and pay attention to the construction signs and speed limits.
When it's done, and the dust has settled, we will have a wider, safer Fossil Creek Road and a walking path to keep bikes, horses, llamas and pedestrians off the road.
New mailboxes are also being installed in safer locations as a part of this project.
Old Time Fiddlers Jam Session
The most popular local musicians in Pine-Strawberry will be strumming, picking, singing and fiddling once again.
The musicians start off at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 in the Cultural Hall at the Community Center. If you play an instrument, bring it along and join the fun. Everyone welcome. This is the best show at the best price -- it's free.
A Book For All Seasons Closing
Sad, but true: the quaint little bookstore on Hardscrabble Road is closing its doors.
During the month of February, Kim is saying adios in a grand way. She will be posting close-out prices on all of her books, jewelry, gems and minerals, greeting cards -- even the shelving units and display cases will be for sale. Stop in between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday through Monday and check it out.
